Your perfect interior cocktail

You can tell a lot about a person by the cocktails they drink, or so they say. Just like your interior style, cocktails can be fun and quirky, smooth and elegant, fresh and lively, or simple and timeless. But can we tell which furniture suits you based on your favourite cocktails? We can certainly try.

Old Fashioned
This evening favourite has its roots in the dusty bars of Midwestern America, and it’s a golden treasure in the mixology handbook. Simple and smart, it brings a vibrant splash of zest to a dignified whiskey base – a balance of young and old. The result is a combination we know all too well in our home interiors. Traditional but not stuffy, time-honoured but not old-timey; the Old Fashioned recalls panelled wood, intimate lighting, and the feeling of winding down after a long, but successful, day.

The classical composition of the Rennes armchair accommodates moments of quiet contemplation and deep relaxation – preferably late at night with a touch of low lighting (cocktail optional, but heavily recommended). One part contemporary finish, two parts traditional charm, turned oak legs and plush curves blend effortlessly for serious style. Meanwhile, when you’re embracing your late night tipples, the Zabel cabinet will provide shelter for your most precious glassware and decanters. Carefully carved geometric doors and beautiful rosewood racks make it a cabinet forged as well as the best Old Fashioned in town.

The bright pink jewel in the crown of the 90s. A crucial accessory to any girl’s night out. The Cosmopolitan oozes elegance and sparkles with style. Not too Modern but not too Retro, there’s a nostalgic edge to the cocktail, similar to some of our contemporary classic pieces.

Not short on glamour, the Senzo dressing table layers on the luxury with a molten mixture of elegant brass and creamy white marble. Inspired by the glamorous Art Deco interior stylings of New York City, this dressing table frames smooth stone in a dainty metallic frame and tops it off with a tabletop mirror. Compact form and beautiful materials help make dressing up that little bit more satisfying.
Embodying the Cosmo in every way, the Baia bell pendant nicely freshens up Deco looks. Crafted from smooth, hand-blown glass in a pink hue, it’s so fresh you could just sip it right up. We’re surprised this rare jewel of a pendant doesn’t come with ice cubes and a slice of lemon.

Perfected in the hotspots of Havana, and enjoying popularity throughout the European summer, this vibrant blend of rum, lime, mint, and sugar makes for a natural companion to scenes of white sand, scorching sun, and rumba rhythms. Pared back, yet brimming with personality, it’s a tranquil beach classic as well as a dependable party starter. That familiar ambience – palm trees and blue skies, sunny days and hot nights – can feature in your interior design too. Even city dwellers and country bumpkins can enjoy a taste of the Mojito in their homes.

Designed and crafted amidst the golden hills of Portugal, our Ines dinnerware collection captures the simple luxury of tropical life and permanently sets it in natural stone. Sandy colours and bubbling textures make for a fresh twist on Classic sensibility. Best saved for al fresco dinner parties, especially in the summer when they’re guaranteed to bring just the right vibe to the table. Meanwhile, resting your legs on a beautiful ottoman is bound to kick those weekend chillouts up a notch.

Long Island Iced Tea
Unassuming but very effective, the Long Island Iced Tea packs a heavy punch with its mixture of five different spirits (five!) bound by a sparkling top of cola. It always proves palatable at first sip, if a little rowdy in large quantities, making it the ideal drink for audacious and flamboyant types. People who live on the edge tend to favour designs that make an impression straight away – those kinds of love-it-or-hate-it statement pieces that inject heaps of personality into a room.

You can always rely on rugs to make a bold claim. For a touch of contrasting pattern and colour, our selection of Lombard rugs are designed to excite your floor with rich woollen tapestries of chevron stripes and strong colours. Choose from gold, grey, black, or a mishmash of all three to achieve that distinctive eclectic tang. Also embodying the brazen spirit of the Long Island Iced Tea, the Duke cocktail chair provides a comfortable nook, while bringing a healthy dose of fun to any space. With plenty of funky colours and a design that blurs the lines between Retro and Modern interior styles, this piece steals the show in the best way possible.
